It'southward Steve Martin!" every bit the contrived chat room intro segued into a storyline that might have been funny forty years ago had it had a decent script, but is now distastefully lamentable and embarrassing. Rich white accountant/lawyer, (Steve Martin) with racist neighbour (Betty White), meets badass, recently jailed (but not guilty) black daughter (Queen Latifah) who invites all her Black friends, who, of course are gamblers, sexy women, and a rowdy crowd, to a blench worthy political party at Steve's mansion, with a sub plot of Steve and his hoity toity constabulary firm'due south plan to get a rich old heiress'south business concern, which, had I not turned it off at that point, was getting ready to morph into other things I really didn't care to waste time finding out about. I could've bought a Big Mac for the aforementioned price. At least there would have been a guilty pleasance.

With two very talented leads, I thought this movie would have some redeeming qualities but I was incorrect.
The concept of beingness cat-fished online could exist funny, but this movie leans into outdated stereotypes to attempt to move the plot forward but falls flat. The accented worse part of the film is that the Steve Martin'south character doesn't accept to go on with any harassments.
Here'south an example of the movie stretching out a lame-duck premise...
Modest Spoiler: Martin's graphic symbol returns home to a unauthorized business firm political party. After getting pass the "doormen" he finds rowdy folks gambling and drinking, and overall beingness on his property without his consent. I know that one-act comes from unlikely situations, just this one could take easily been extinguished.

This isn't a bad film but it wasn't great. It was really stupid at times just had some really funny moments which make information technology enjoyable to picket. But know that information technology does have a lot of innuendo and quite a flake of vulgar language which gets old quick. I don't know why Hollywood thinks the more y'all curse in a movie the better the movie. THIS IS Not AND NEVER IS THE Example. Then what you accept is Steve Martin/Peter who is a big shot Tax attorney who is completely disengaged with his family unit and ex. His piece of work is his life even though he'due south completely miserable. Queen Latifah/Charlene is an ex-con who has taught herself law and has been sharing legal communication and statutes on unlike cases via a chat room. Well, ane day Charlene shows upwards after an invite to become together one day to Peter'south firm. Peter learns she'due south an ex-con simply is basically forced into housing Charlene. Charlene follows Peter and interrupts every attribute of Peter's life and Concern. This begins a whole serial of mishaps and events that changes both of their lives. The mishaps start coming together and ends up improving their lives in ways they never could of seen. Funny fight scenes, sexual advances past Peter'southward co-worker to Charlene and the bringing together a family. This would be a much improve moving-picture show had it not been for all the language. For it would exist hilarious without it with decent morals. Overall it was still skilful and a good express mirth only don't recommend watching information technology with young kids. We got out laughs though and enjoyed information technology.

The moving picture touches on many Social Issues! The biggest effect is Steve Martin'southward character lawyer/male parent! He has a difficult time keeping his promises with his children! Then ,beingness a workaholic, has emotional issues with his wife! Then Queen Latifah enters into his LIFE! In all of this confusion comes the come across with Latifah'southward beau! Martin'due south character so falls apart when Latifah's, an escaped prison inmate, asks for his legal help!! Then the fun begins!! The next door neighbour, Betty White a bigot, plays such a hilarious nosy charter!! With all of this going on he has to lock a new client, played by Joan Plowrght , a billionaire, with beautiful dog named Willam! This movie is full of LAUGHS!!

I dearest this picture! In my eyes, it'southward a classic! I watched this film then many times on DvD when I was younger and it never got old. Information technology's been a while since I watched it and one time I pressed play, I was hooked all over again. I dearest Queen, I dearest Steve and Levy! It'due south honestly i of those films that you just play considering you know it is whole hearted and an easy lookout. Maybe it is not 1 of their "career bests" but it sure is i to note. Similar a hidden jewel, you wouldn't be mad if you watched.

Steve Martin is ane shrewd dude. He totally eschews ego in this one and allows his costars to carry the film. Sure it's basically a retread of "Judge Who's Coming to Dinner?" But what a retread!!! Queen Latifah fresh off her Oscar nominated turn in "Chicago" projects sass, smarts, and sultriness as Martin's uninvited houseguest. Not to be outdone is a hilarious bit by Eugene Levy as Martin's business organization partner who possesses a taste for soul nutrient. Levy was on a adept run at that time as the but redeeming factor in "American Pie" and appearances in Christopher Invitee mockumentaries. Worth mentioning are Joan Plowright as an uptight heiress, Betty White equally Martin'south bigoted next door neighbor, and Missy Pyle as Martin'due south golden digging sis-in-police force. We're not talking classic stuff but as lighthearted entertainment "Bringing Down the Business firm" fills a void on a Sat Night.

This is one of the funniest movies I've seen. It has great acting and the cast is perfect together. Steve Martin and Queen Latifah are hilarious. Every time this motion-picture show was on tv set we watched information technology. We've seen information technology so many times we know the lines. I dear it. Our favorite scene is the club scene. I express joy till tears are coming out of my eyes. Great motion picture.

I've had a copy of this motion-picture show for many years, having been drawn to it during a search for other movies in "Amazon's" listings. Overall, information technology's well made and fun to watch and see how the principal grapheme gets into and Out circumstances that evolve through out the movie. If you haven't seen this ane earlier it's certainly well worth a 'look at'. Chuckle.
